To achieve this goal, we need your help. That’s why we’ve expanded our Irrigation Controller Recycling Program to Hunter Preferred Program members nationwide. Since launching the program in 2019, we’ve recycled more than 13,000 lb of controller e-waste while supporting Blue Star Recyclers’ mission to create jobs through ethical recycling.
How Hunter Is Helping
At Hunter Industries, we’re striving to improve that figure by expanding our Irrigation Controller Recycling Program to customers nationwide.
Since launching our pilot program 2.5 years ago, we’ve recycled more than 12,000 lbs of controller e-waste through our partnership with nonprofit organization Blue Star Recyclers. We’ve also helped support their mission of creating jobs for people with autism and other disabilities through their recycling operations.
Hunter Preferred Program Members Benefits
The Hunter-funded Irrigation Controller Recycling Program provides free controller shipping for Silver, Gold, and Platinum members. Based on your Hunter Preferred Program (HPP) member status*, Hunter Industries will also cover your shipping expenses up to the allotted amount.
Irrigation Controller Recycling Program Shipping Instructions
Hunter Industries will cover your shipping expenses up to the allotted amount as noted in the chart below. Participation is open to contractors, public agencies, and municipalities. It’s easy to participate:
- Fill out the required Shipping Label Request Form.
- Package your shipment and drop it off at UPS.

Terms and Conditions
*Hunter will cover the recycling costs for irrigation controllers sent to Blue Star Recyclers when the required form is included. We will also provide labels that cover shipping fees up to the allotted amount with each minimum 25 lb shipment. Hunter Preferred Program members can use points for fees beyond the covered amount.
