President & CEO of Hunter Industries
Having built his first rotor at the age of eight, Greg Hunter was destined for a career in manufacturing. Since earning a mechanical engineering degree from Cornell University, he has played an important role in the development of some of the most significant irrigation innovations of our time. Greg was promoted to President of Hunter Industries in February 2013, and serves on the Board of Directors at the Irrigation Association. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Vice President of Global Sales
Steve began working in the irrigation industry in 1985 to help pay for his business degree from the University of Florida. During this time, he learned first-hand, the needs of the professional channel customers we serve. This understanding has helped build the best global field sales and service teams in the business. The Hunter team of industry experts combines world-class technical skills with the local relationships needed to help our customers succeed. Outside work, Steve and his wife enjoy cycling and following their kids’ prolific soccer and acting pursuits.
Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining Hunter Industries in 1995, Stephanie held several positions in both public accounting and government. She is a Certified Public Accountant and has served on the Board of Hunter Industries since 2010. During her tenure, she has managed the worldwide tax strategies of Hunter Industries and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2014. Today she oversees the financial and risk management of the company. Stephanie is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in accounting and a master¹s degree in taxation. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, sailing and traveling with her family.
President of Senninger Irrigation
James brings over 30 years of experience in the Agriculture Industry to the Hunter team. Graduating from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Agricultural Economics, he began his career in agricultural irrigation in 1983. After 13 years of service with Waterman Industries, James joined Senninger Irrigation in 1996. In his 20 years of service at Senninger, James has served as Domestic Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing before accepting the position of President of Senninger Irrigation in 2007. James is known for his commitment to water conservation and preservation, Senninger’s core values and the team he leads. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, serving at his local church and riding his Harley.
Vice President of Manufacturing
Paul began his career at Hunter Industries in 1999 as Molding and Facilities Manager. In addition to directing the Injection Molding Department, Paul managed the construction of our Mexico Facility and LEED Certified Sales, Marketing and Distribution Center. He was promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing in 2010, and continues to provide leadership for our molding, tooling, and facilities operations in San Marcos and daily operations and expansion of our manufacturing capacity in Mexico. Paul spends most of his time off work surfing, sailing and relaxing at local beaches with his family.
Director of Human Resources
Nanci joined Hunter Industries in 2005 as the Employment Manager in Human Resources. During her tenure, she has held several leadership roles within the department and was promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2014. Nanci provides leadership to the HR department’s functional areas including Employee Relations, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Safety and Risk Management, and the Wellness Center. Nanci also provides guidance and support to the HR team at Hunter’s Mexico facility. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Director of Information Services
Marc Kase joined Hunter Industries in 2010 as Director of Information Services. Since then, the Information Services team has upgraded many of Hunter’s internal systems to enable improved operations, better collaboration, and additional insight into our customers and our business. Hunter Information Services has also partnered with our marketing and sales departments to enable closer customer connections through improvements to hunterindustries.com and Hunter’s Preferred Program. In his free time, Marc serves on the board of directors of the Boys To Men Mentoring Network.
Vice President of Manufacturing
Ken McEneany began his career with Hunter Industries in 1996 as Quality Assurance Manager with a team that implemented a disciplined quality management system. During Ken’s tenure, he has managed corporate acquisitions, product line transfers, and teams throughout Engineering and Manufacturing Operations. Ken was promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing in 2010. Today, Ken’s primary focus is still product quality, but he also manages teams who concentrate on the global supply chain, off-shore manufacturing, production, and product reliability. In his free time, Ken enjoys ice hockey, watching his two sons play lacrosse, and traveling with his wife.
Vice President of International Sales
Barry Pedler began working for Hunter in 1994 based in London, managing Hunter’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. He was Hunter’s International Marketing Manager for nine years and is now Vice President of International Sales. Barry’s 35 years of international sales and marketing experience includes years living and working in Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Uruguay, United Arab Emirates, U.K., and the U.S. Barry holds a B.A. in science from the University of Adelaide, an M.B.A. from California State University San Marcos, and was Chairman of the U.S. Irrigation Association’s Export Marketing Committee in 1992 and 1993. He has the great pleasure of working with Hunter’s business partners and industry professionals in all corners of the globe, together building greener and brighter communities.
Vice President of Engineering
In his 15 years at Hunter, Arne has held many different leadership roles including Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, and Engineering Manager. Arne was promoted to Director of Engineering in 2007 and his current role as Vice President of Engineering in 2010. Arne provides leadership in the areas of product and technology development, manufacturing process design and improvement, and business development. Prior to joining Hunter, Arne spent five years as a bridge engineer and earned his professional license in Civil Engineering. Arne holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural Engineering from University of California San Diego, a Master of Science Degree in Structural Engineering from University of California Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from California State University San Marcos. When not in the office, Arne spends most of time with his two children or enjoying sports and the outdoors.
Vice President of Marketing
Gene Smith began his career at Hunter in 1999 as a Mechanical Engineer. He transitioned into Marketing in 2002 and focused on product innovation management and acquisitions. Gene was asked to take on the role of Vice President of Marketing in 2012, and currently provides leadership in the areas of product strategy/business development, technical services, customer services, brand management, product distribution/logistics and marketing management. Gene spends most of his off-work time with his wife and children.
